Happening Now: Family of Faulkner student athlete killed speaks out

Good morning and happy Friday! I'm Melissa Johnson in for Tonya Terry this morning. Hope you'll join Judd, Josh, and me as we get you ready for your weekend on Today in Alabama!

In the news this morning, we have more details about the story that has rocked a local college campus. Four students from Faulkner University are accused of robbing an east Montgomery home, and in the process, police say the homeowner shot and killed one of them. We have reaction from University leaders and family members of the student who was killed.

We'll also hear from folks in Wetumpka, where people say there's an on-going speeding problem on Firetower Road. It is the road where a sheriff's deputy and three teenagers recently lost their lives. Neighbors in the area say that is just the latest accident in a string of serious accidents, and now it's time for something to be done.

We'll see you at 4:30 AM!
