MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Montgomery Regional Airport has brought a fresh new approach to the design look of their baggage claim area. The new design is sure to highlight both the city and its community.
The Leadership board of Directors along with officials from Air Launch unveiled the new area on Wednesday. During the unveiling guests were able to get a close up look at the newly designed walls and highlight areas in the baggage claim area. The space featured information about the history of Montgomery and places around the city.
"We are working to make a difference and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with what has taken place." Chip Gentry the Vice President of Aire Service Development says.
Montgomery Regional Airport is located six miles southwest of the capital city, covering 2,000 acres and serving 16 counties in Central Alabama. Approximately 400,000 travelers fly in and out of the airport each year with more than a million coming through the terminal.
