MONTGOMERY, Ala. Kevin Spicer scored 14 points for the Hornets to lead Alabama State to a 59-to-58 victory over Alcorn State onday night..

Alexander Oliver scored ten points for the Hornets (7-9, 5-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Ralfeal Golden and Joel Bosh each had a game-high seven rebounds. The Hornets hit two-of-six three-pointers overall and led 30-to-27 at halftime.

Delvin Thompson had 22 points for Alcorn State (4-15, 3-5) and shot five-of-eight from three-point range. He also led the team with five rebounds. Almaad Jackson scored eleven points for the Braves and shot three-of-three from three-point range. The team hit eight-of-16 shots from three-point range overall.

The Hornets shot 45.5% from the field and and the Braves shot 38.6%.
