SLE Rodeo bringing family fun to the Capital City

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The SLE Rodeo is bringing family fun to the Capital City this week! This years event began on Thursday and will continue through Saturday at the Garrett Coliseum. 

Cowboys from across the country are in the Capital City for the 58th annual SLE rodeo. It kicked off Friday night with rider Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Championship.

"We bring professional rodeo including to Montgomery once a year. The competition is better than your going to see any where around." Donnie Gay with Frontier Rodeo Company says, "Bull Riding is a cross between NASCAR and the NFL football collisions. It's a tough sport, but it's a great way to make a living."

Organizers say after the all the action, Park Band will perform on Friday and Rexton Lee Band will be performing on Saturday. Tickets are available online, at the Alabama Cattlemen's Building, or Garrett Coliseum. For more information call 1-888 2-RODEO-2.
