AUBURN, AL (WSFA) -

An Auburn landmark is set to close its doors by the end of the year. The War Eagle Supper Club confirmed Wednesday that it would not be renewing its lease at 2061 South College Street when it expires.

Owners say renewing the lease would prove too expensive. They're now looking for a new place to move.

The business will remain open until New Year's Eve at which time it will say goodbye with a concert.

The War Eagle Supper Club has an Auburn staple, serving up good times to the college crowd while showcasing bands and musicians for 78 years.
