WAGGAMAN, LA (WVUE) -

It came from the deep!... Or maybe a ditch.

A Waggaman man recently found a rare blue crawfish as he was pouring a sack from Boutte to prepare for a boil.

Dennis Bonnet told NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune he was purging the mudbugs when he saw the blue crawfish.

Only one in 10,000 crawfish turn blue, according to the Audubon Institute.

This crawfish was spared. The rest of the sack was not so lucky.
