Oneonta woman killed in Friday afternoon crash

BLOUNT COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - A woman died, and two other people were hurt, when the pickup they were riding in overturned after hitting an embankment on Blount County Road 27 Friday afternoon.

All three were ejected from the pickup and all three were not wearing seat belts, according to Trooper Curtis Summerville with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

61-year-old Brenda B. Crowe, of Oneonta, died from her injuries according to Trooper Summerville.

Crowe was a passenger in the truck.

The driver, 65-year-old Woody Dewey Woodard, and another unidentified passenger, were were taken to a hospital for treatment, according to Summerville.

Troopers say they continue to investigate the accident.
