Usually on "Senior Skip Day" students need to come up with a good excuse at school, but not this one. In fact, these folks don't need to worry about getting a note from mom or dad.
Thursday is "Senior Citizen Skip Day." Humana is promoting the event which allows America's seniors who are ages 62 and older, free entry into any national park today.
"Humana's goal is to improve the health of the communities we serve by making it easy for people to achieve their best health," said Humana President and CEO Bruce Broussard. "National parks are great resources offering a range of healthy experiences for people of all ages, and they represent a simple way to enjoy being healthy and active."
The National Parks Service is celebrating its 100th anniversary by encouraging folks to stay healthy and active.
