PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) - The MAX4Kids Foundation and its many supporters have raised thousands of dollars from a charity golf event that will go back to children in the community. The 16th Annual MAX4Kids Charity Golf Tournament was held at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Prattville  on Oct. 21.

Organizers say thanks to the participation of 211 golfers and 112 sponsors, almost $40,000 was raised.

"The MAX4Kids Annual Charity Golf Tournament is our biggest fundraiser each year," said Wayne Blackwell, SVP of Member Experience and MAX4Kids President. "We are thankful for the continued support of MAX's vendors, customers, and the community to help make the event successful each year."

The money will benefit children's charities in the River Region and East Alabama, as well as the MAX4Kids Scholarship Program.

MAX4Kids Foundation is a non-profit organization that seeks to give back to children in the communities served by the MAX financial institution. Since its establishment in 2001 the foundation has awarded more than $340,000 through its scholarship program and donated over $869,000 to children's charities in the River Region and East Alabama.
