SPRINGDALE, AR (WMC) -

Tyson Foods recalled 52,486 pounds of hot wings.

According to a news release from the company, the 28-ounce bags of Tyson Any'tizers Fully Cooked Hot Wings Buffalo Style Chicken Wing Sections are being taken off store shelves.

Bags of the hot wings with establishment number P-13456 inside the USDA mark of inspection and use/sell by dates of October 24, 2016 and October 25, 2016 are affected by the recall.

Tyson said customers contacted the company, saying the product had an 'off-odor.'  Some also reported mild illness, though there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions to the wings.

If you are concerned about an injury or illness related to this product, contact your doctor.

The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) urges those who bought the bags of hot wings not eat them. Throw the food away or return it to the place of purchase.

Customers with food safety questions can 'Ask Karen' through the FSIS virtual representative at AskKaren.gov.  The toll-free USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline is available Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET at 1-888-674-6854.
