Attorney Fred Gray talks about his relationship with WSFA's Frank McGee

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Attorney Fred Gray spoke on Tuesday about his relationship with Frank McGee during the Civil Rights Movement.

McGee was the first News Director of WSFA, and later went on to become a host on NBC’s “The Today Show.”

Gray talked about how McGee and he would help each other by working together to get stories and information out to the public on the Montgomery Bus Boycott and other significant events during the Civil Rights Movement. 

McGee passed away on April 17, 1974, at the age of 52, from complications from bone cancer.
