MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - This Saturday the second annual Raycom Media Camellia Bowl will be played here in Montgomery at the Cramton Bowl.

The Camellia Bowl has proven to be an economic boon for Montgomery. Last year, the bowl brought in close to $12 million, and this year, the expectations are higher.

This is a great opportunity to show off the River Region and the wonderful Southern hospitality that exists here.

As this bowl grows it is up to us to make sure that the people coming in with their schools have a great time. They will in turn tell others from their conferences and the word will get out that this is a bowl game to come to.

This week while either Christmas shopping, going out to eat, or enjoying the great weather, you will probably run across fans dressed in Ohio University or Appalachian State gear.

Take just a moment to say thank you for coming to our town, wish them good luck, and offer information about things to do or places to eat.

Raycom Media and the Camellia Bowl have done their part in bringing us the game. City leaders have done their part in getting the city and the Cramton Bowl ready.

Now it's all of our turn to make sure that everyone that is visiting our great city takes home great memories from Montgomery and the Camellia Bowl.
