COPY-FEMA approves $2.6 million grant for Montgomery debris removal

MONTGOMERY, Ala. Federal emergency management officials have approved more than two-point-six (M) million dollars in federal disaster funds to reimburse Montgomery for part of the cost of debris removal after Hurricane Ivan.

Governor Bob Riley announced the grant today (Monday). He says the devastation caused by the hurricane was incredible, but the state is making strong and steady progress on the road to recovery.The two-point-six (M) million dollars represents a 90 percent federal share of project costs.
