Editorial feedback: Trump responseson

MONTGOMERY CO., AL (WSFA) - Last week I owned up to my earlier statement that Trump could never win the Republican nomination, and now that he looks to have won the nomination, I discussed the race with Hillary Clinton that is in front of us.

Here are a few of the many comments I received.

James wants us to look past the mainstream candidates.

"Time for those of you who are undecided to make your choice. It does not have to be Trump or Hillary. Time to do away with this asinine two party system. I urge you to look at the other choices like Libertarian Gary Johnson who will be on the ballot in all 50 states. Don't be fooled into voting for a lesser of two evils when you don't have to choose evil at all," James said.

Robert supports Trump for a reason I can understand.

"The core Republican party is made up of mainstream voters. Not conservatives, the maybe 10% trying to control the party. Trump hears the base," Robert said.

Ryan is a Trump guy all the way.

"Yes, flip it upside down. Fire all the lifers get something done to help America. Take those who can work off welfare put those who are in need on it. Take care of our Veterans who have given so much and stop funding terrorism across the world!!! Go Trump," Ryan said.

Becky, not so much.

"Hell no. The man is a complete idiot. He flip flops more than a fish out of water. Besides pointing figures and insulting people. He has yet to tell us his plan for anything," Becky said.

Great responses and there were many others. One response always stands out, and this week is no different.

Shamekanicole may be on to something here.

"I don't think America should elect any president in 2016. We need to be single for a few years and find ourselves," Shamekanicole said.

That may not be a bad idea. Alabama might think about that as well. Thank you all for the comments.
