Opp police officer impersonator sought by authorities
Opp, AL (WSFA) - A man impersonating a police officer is being sought in Crenshaw County. Opp police say he pulled someone over Saturday on Perry Store Road.
The woman who was stopped said the man had a gun belt with a pistol, a badge, and a silver nameplate with the word "Hudson" engraved on it. When she told the man that she was calling the police, he left the scene.
Opp police describe the man's vehicle as a two-toned Ford Crown Victoria (white on the bottom, black on top). The vehicle has blue lights in the grill and the letters "PD" printed on the right side. Police believe the letters are magnetic.
If you know who this man is, call Opp police. If he tries to pull you over, investigators say you should not stop. Instead, call 911 immediately.
