Butler County authorities arrest 2, seize spice and other drugs

BUTLER CO., AL (WSFA) - Two people are facing drug charges in Butler County after a raid of a home outside of Greenville Friday.

Members of the Butler County Sheriff's Office and 2nd Judicial Drug Task Force executed a search warrant and arrested Brendon Thomas and Leslie Crawson in what Sheriff Kenny Harden describes as an ongoing drug investigation.

They were charged with possession of a controlled substance and other charges are pending, the sheriff indicated.

He says Thomas and Crawson were selling spice, cocaine and marijuana.

Several thousand dollars worth of drugs were seized from the home, along with cash and a weapon.

The suspects were transported to the Butler County Jail.

There have been a number of drug busts in the county in recent months, as part of an continuing crackdown on narcotics.
