Walton Glenn Eller, who graduated from Auburn University in 2004, is headed to Rio to compete in shooting.
Glenn Eller’s shooting career dates back to 1999 when he competed in his first World Cup. Since then, Eller has become one of the most experienced shooters for the U.S.
Eller, 33, has competed in four previous Olympic games: the 2000, 2004, 2008, and 2012. He was the youngest man on the USA Olympic shooting team in 2000 and 2004. He was also the first American to win the British Opening Sporting Clay title.
Eller, who began shooting at the age of 8, is a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit. He was deployed to Afghanistan in 2012.
