White House evacuated, but all clear now

The White House and the US Capitol Building were evacuated Wednesday, but the perceived threat is now over.

Military planes flew overhead but the president was not at the White House at the time.  According to reports, security personnel directed staff to "Leave, run."

A Homeland Security official told the AP, "It appears a small airplane may have penetrated restricted airspace."   No ties to terrorism are evident.
