MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Earlier this week, I asked the WSFA staff, “What are some simple things you’re thankful for this year?”  Here are a few of their answers:

  • Warm hugs
  • Baby giggles
  • Baby cats
  • Fuzzy blankets
  • Puppies
  • Saturday mornings
  • Mornings sleeping in
  • The end of daylight saving time
  • Sugar white beaches
  • Off days
  • Crock Pots
  • Chicken wings and beer
  • Coffee
  • Steak
  • Energy drinks
  • Text messaging
  • My phone
  • Google
  • Twitter
  • That the election is over
  • College football
  • Nick Saban
  • Coupon codes
  • Glitter
  • Spandex
  • Remake of the Tarzan movie
  • The Harry Show
  • Rare birds

There were lots of more serious answers as well, but we all have little fun things like these that we’re thankful for.

The question is, how thankful are we for the really big stuff? And have we expressed that thanks to those who make the big stuff possible?

In a prayer, in a card, in a phone call, in a visit; show your attitude of gratitude this year.

Fall is in the air and if you are like me, it couldn’t get here quick enough.  With the cooler temperatures finally heading our way, why not go out and explore Montgomery and have some fun with the family.
