MONTGOMERY CO., AL (WSFA) -

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has officially named its training facility in honor of the late Sheriff D.T. Marshall. It's now called the D.T. Marshall Training Facility and Firing Range.

Montgomery County commissioners approved the name change back in March. Marshall, who served as sheriff for 16 years, died on March 23.

Current Sheriff Derrick Cunningham said he wanted to make sure his predecessor was honored.
