  • Southern won its first-ever regional championship and its first conference title since joining the NE-10 in 2000.
  • Farell tossed a complete-game shutout in a 1-0 win over Franklin Pearce in the regional final.  It was the staff's 10th shutout this year.
  • The Owls played with wooden bats for most of the season.
  • Terri was named the MVP of the regional tournament.
  • Southern assistant Scott Berney pitched for Clemson in the 2000 NCAA College World Series (Division I-A)
  • The Southern athletic program has won nine men's team titles, six in soccer and three in gymnastics.
