NOTES:

  • The Mocs earned their 20th regional title by defeating rival Tampa 10-7 in the South championship.
  • Three players were named to the Sunsine State all-conference team.  They included first baseman Fred Popp, shortstop Geoff Strickland, outfielder Nick Diyorio
  • Pitcher Ken Wadsworth, who leads the team with a 9-0 record, was named the conference Freshman of the year.
  • Pete Meyer is just the fourth head coach in the last 48 years at the school.  He followed Chuck Anderson who retired in 2002.  Meyer coached the Mocs in the 2002 championship tournament.
  • Florida Southern has been ranked in the final national poll every year since 1969.
  • The Mocs enter this week ranked 2nd.
