Foley Police are investigating the theft of a church bus reported stolen Sunday from the Foley Assembly of God.

The bus -- a 2002 Ford Spirit bus -- was found later that day in Walton County, Fla.

The bus was reported stolen from the church at 314 E. Azalea Ave. in Foley. In Florida, the Walton County Sherriff's Office located the bus, stuck in mud, not damaged, and occupied by Ned Michael Arnold, 60.

Authorities say Arnold admitted to taking the bus. He was arrested and charged with first-degree theft of property and was awaiting extradition to Baldwin County in Alabama.

Police say the case is still under investigation.
