MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Troy head football coach Neal Brown has agreed to a new four-year contract, according to Athletic Director Jeremy McClain.

The contract is through the 2020 season and includes an option for two more years.

McClain said they've been working on the contract since December. McClain said they are still finalizing details like pay and he would release more information in a few weeks.

The assistant coaches will also be getting extensions, McClain confirmed.

Troy is coming off a 10-3 season in which the Trojans became the first team in Sun Belt Conference history to earn a spot in either the Associated Press or Coaches Top 25 poll. Troy earned a No. 25 ranking in the AP Top 25. The Trojans had a six-win improvement from the 2015 season.
