Authorities searching for driver of stolen vehicle

MOBILE, AL (WALA) -

Mobile Police are searching for an individual in connection to a stolen vehicle.

A pursuit began at 2:45 p.m., Monday, March 13. The Mobile County Sheriff's office and Border Patrol are all on the scene at Sandra Drive and Westfield.

Officials are on foot searching for one suspect. According authorities the stolen vehicle was now on fire in the woods near Hwy 90 and Tung Avenue. 

St. Elmo and Irvington Fire department says the vehicle was found in their area however, they can't get to it because it's a swampy, wooded area which is hard to get to. 

Fire officials say the fire has burned itself out.  We will continue to follow this developing story.

    According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the suspect who opened fire and the woman killed in a deadly church shooting in Antioch, Tennessee have been identified.   The victim, Melanie Smith, 39, of Smyrna was killed in the church parking lot.  The gunman was identified as 25-year-old Emanuel Kidega Samson.
