MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The Texas Roadhouse in east Montgomery was evacuated Saturday night after a fire started in the kitchen, according to a manager.

Pictures and video sent from WSFA 12 News viewers showed flames coming from the roof of the restaurant on Eastchase Parkway.

The Montgomery Fire/Rescue Department responded to the scene and got the fire under control.

MFR confirms they responded to a possible building fire in the 7500 block of Eastchase Parkway. Texas Roadhouse is located at 7525 Eastchase Pkwy. MFR says upon arrival units reported seeing flames coming from the roof. Crews made entry to extinguish the fire and found the fire had originated in the cooking area. The building was laddered to extinguish the fires on the roof.

According to MFR, all occupants were out of the building and no injuries have been reported by civilians or MFR personnel.

The incident is under investigation to determine the cause.

The manager of Texas Roadhouse said they hope to be open for business within the next week.
