Editorial: Pull up your pants

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Over the years l have been confounded with the fashion style of low-hanging pants. I did some research and found the style or means of wearing pants below the posterior comes from jails where inmates often are given pants too big. They do not issue belts in jail, so the pants fall well below the waist.

I, for the life of me, cannot understand why anyone outside jail would wear their pants in such a fashion. Justin Bieber does. I promise you Justin Bieber can afford a belt. He obviously needs instructions on how to use it.

It's kind of like having to sit through the safety demonstration on an airplane plane learning how to use your seat belt. We all sit there and think: really, does no one really know how to do this? Well, the same would be the case where belts are concerned.

I know I speak for the majority when I say "pull up your pants."  No one wants to see your underwear.  Come to think of it, I believe it is called underwear so that it is to be worn under one's pants.

If you are looking for employment, this is not what you need to be wearing for an interview.

When grandpa stands up and has forgotten to buckle his pants and the pants hit the ground, we feel sorry for him.  He has an excuse. No one else does.
