ENTERPRISE, AL (WSFA) -

Enterprise residents are about to get a brand new place to enjoy the latest movies. Construction for a new $8.5 million facility is nearing completion. Those looking to check out the latest flicks will get to enjoy it in one of ten auditoriums that vary in size from 50 seats to 200.

The company currently has 3 smaller theaters in Enterprise. This one is expected to be bigger and better, combining all three locations. The movie screen will cover an entire wall and there will be seats with electric recliners.

"We were old school," admitted Clark Theaters President Mack Clark Jr. "Enterprise needed a new and modern theater, and this is what they've got. I'm telling you it's the best of the best."

The lobby is painted in a variety of bright colors and there will be a box office and a candy display with LED lights inside.

Clark said the goal is to sell picture, sound, and comfort, and the new and improved theater is expected to provide all three. His excitement is building as completion nears.

"They are doing the landscaping. They're fixing to pour the sidewalks here in the front and around the building, and they're finishing up on the box office here and doing the final steps on the inside," Clark said.

Owners hope to have the new theater open by April 21.

The Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is scheduled to be released and showing in theaters the week following the grand opening. While the other three theaters are still open, the properties are up for sale.

Clark said they've sold the location at Westgate Shopping Center. Now the company is looking to sell the College Cinema property near Enterprise State Community College and its location next to Walmart.
