MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Big Mo from the Montgomery Biscuits will soon go where few mascots have gone before.

On Friday, March 31 at 2:30 p.m. he will rappel down Montgomery's 40 Four Building to kick off the Biscuits new baseball season. This feat is also a collaboration with Hope Inspired Ministries to bring attention to the organizations new fundraiser, Over the Edge.

"Big Mo is really excited to go over the edge for such a great cause," said Nathan Gunnels, Marketing and Promotions Assistant for the Montgomery Biscuits and Big Mo's interpreter. "He was a little nervous at first, but after a few bribes with biscuits, he is ready for the challenge. Big Mo hopes his participation in this event will help bring awareness to Hope Inspired Ministries and Over the Edge while getting the people of Montgomery excited for the 2017 Biscuits season."

Big Mo will also be joined by other local celebrities and business men and women.

Hope Inspired Ministries serves low-skilled, poorly educated and chronically unemployed men and women by preparing them to obtain and maintain employment.
