MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - We have had a couple of lousy days this past week weather wise. So, it's nice to see a wonderful forecast for this weekend because there is so much to do.
This is the opening weekend for the Montgomery Biscuits. Starting their 14th year of providing great baseball, family entertainment and a fabulous venue.
The Maxwell Air Show also takes place Saturday and Sunday! This will be a celebration of the Air Force's 70th Anniversary going this weekend. The best part is Admission is free to the public. I suggest you plan early because it will be well attended. The highlight of each day of course will be the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.
But wait there's more. Grammy Award-winning country music star Clint Black will headline Stars in the Park, an outdoor concert on the grounds of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival this Saturday, evening at 8 p.m. Additionally Blackbird Pickers, Jason Givens and the Wanderers, Jessie Lynn, and Act of Congress will be performing.
Montgomery has it going on!
The weather is perfect and these are great events you shouldn't miss. These kinds of weekends make you proud to live in central Alabama and our country….Enjoy – I may see you there!
