Tuscaloosa Metro Homicide has confirmed that the bodies of two women were recovered overnight in Lake Tuscaloosa.

Capt. Kip Hart identified the deceased as 34-year-old Shelly Darling and 41-year-old Elizabeth Whipple.

Preliminary autopsy findings indicate that the two were electrocuted, according to Hart.

First responders were called to a home in the 1500 block of West Winds Drive to perform a search. Family members found the women's belongings by the water, but couldn't find them.
