ALEA investigates officer-involved shooting near Tuskegee

TUSKEGEE, AL (WSFA) -

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's State Bureau of Investigation is investigating an officer involved shooting. 

The Wednesday shooting involved the Macon County Sheriff's Office. ALEA is investigating at the request of the sheriff and the Macon County District Attorney's Office.

The shooting happened on U.S. 80 near Tuskegee. One suspect was injured and taken to Columbus Medical Center with injuries.

More information will be released as it becomes available.
