WSFA 12 News takes newscasts out of the studios to the roads of Central Alabama .
WSFA 12 On Tour is an ‘on the road’ campaign focused on broadcasting Today In Alabama, WSFA 12 News at 5:00 and 6:00 Live from local communities in an effort to reach out to viewers.
The tour will begin on July 14th at Lake Martin in Alexander City. The next stop will be on July 21st in Troy and on the 28th WSFA 12 will be live in Prattville.
News Director Denise Vickers says, “We want to show our strong support of our local communities because without them we would not be successful. We want to show our viewers that we live up to our slogan every day in every newscast, Coverage, Community, Commitment.” WSFA 12 On Tour allows us to get up close and personal with our viewers, Vickers says.
Vickers also says WSFA 12 News will produce stories that showcase the local communities. The public is invited to come out to the various ‘On Tour’ locations to watch the live news productions and to meet WSFA 12 News Talent Valorie Lawson, Bob Howell, Rich Thomas, Jeff Shearer, Kim Hendrix, Judd Davis, Tonya Terry,and Rob Hatchell.
