Congressman Wants More Jobs To Come To Fort Rucker

Under the DOD recommendations, Fort rucker is set to have a net increase of about 17-hundred personnel. But Congressman Terry Everett would like to see even more.

Congressman Everett says Fort Rucker should be home to all military helicopter training, including the Navy which now trains in Pensacola.  He went so far as to say a former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Colin Powell, agreed. The entire Alabama delegation signed off on the proposal to bring the Navy pilots to Fort Rucker.
