LIVE: Senate candidate Randy Brinson addresses Superfund site, alleged political corruption

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WSFA) -

A 2 p.m. news conference has been called by U.S. Senate candidate Randy Brinson to discuss public health dangers from the highly contaminated 35st Street Superfund site in Birmingham.

Brinson says he'll also discuss alleged corruption by the man he's trying to unseat, Luther Strange. Strange has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.

Brinson will be joined by pastors and community leaders to discuss the environmental dangers of toxins in and around the site.

His news conference is set to take place at Bethel Baptist Church in Birmingham.
