Our free walking clubs offer members a chance to increase their physical activity and participate in monthly blood pressure screenings. Baptist Health also participates in many health fairs and screenings throughout the year. We can also provide blood pressure and cholesterol screenings for area businesses and community organizations.
Mall Milers & Out to Walk Club
Physical activity is important for everyone. Regular exercise cannot only help you feel better, but it can also prevent or delay some diseases according to the National Institute on Aging. If you enjoy walking and meeting new people who share your interest in exercise, Baptist Health has a program for you.
To make exercising easier, Baptist Health offers two programs, Mall Milers and Out to Walk. Each of these programs offers members a safe, exciting way to gain physical fitness by walking in a temperature-controlled environment.
Montgomery Mall and Baptist Health have partnered to offer Mall Milers. Members can walk in Montgomery Mall from 8 a.m. until closing. Baptist Health offers members a free blood pressure screening from 8 a.m.-9:30 a.m. the third Tuesday of every month.
Eastdale Mall and Baptist Health have partnered to offer Out to Walk. From 5:30 a.m. to closing, members can walk in Eastdale Mall. Baptist Health offers members a free blood pressure screening from 6:15 a.m.-9:15 a.m. the second Thursday of every month.
