MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency officials say driver license offices and non-diver ID issuance across the state are open again after being closed several times over the past week.

The closures on Monday and Tuesday included all ALEA offices, probate, license commissioner offices and online issuances. According to a statement released by the support contractor MorphoTrust USA, the statewide shut down was caused by a software update over the weekend.

Cpl. Jess Thornton of ALEA says the vendor is still fixing a few bugs, but the system is now up and running.
