Prattville triple-murder suspect requests preliminary hearing

AUTAUGA CO., AL (WSFA) -

One of the Prattville triple-murder suspects has requested a preliminary hearing, while the other suspect has now been charged with attempted murder.

According to Prattville police, Marty Morgan has requested a preliminary hearing for the seven counts of robbery, as well as one count of theft, that have been filed against him.

Morgan, 35, is currently facing three murder charges for the July 3 triple-homicide that took place at a Prattville barbershop. Court documents do not indicate any attempted murder charge at this point.

According to court documents, Morgan also committed theft and, while in the act, threatened the imminent use of force against one of the victims while armed with a deadly weapon. Morgan was taken into custody back on July 10.

Keon Cain, the second suspect, was arrested on July 5. The 19-year-old is now being charged with attempted murder, according to court documents, in addition to the seven robbery charges,
