OPELIKA, AL (WSFA) - The crowd only continues to grow for Round 3 of the Barbasol Championship.
"Saturday we've had more than double what we had yesterday," said Bill Lang, Barbasol Championship Media Director.
Lang says that between 5,000 and 6,000 excited fans are expected to be at the tournament Saturday.
A large part of the excitement is at the Tailgate Tent on the 17th hole, and it's giving football tailgates a run for their money.
"It's definitely a little bit swankier than an Auburn football tailgate, but it's fun. It's a good time," said golf fan Duncan Asbury.
Fans at the tent are enjoying food, multiple televisions, a cool breeze, and a bar...all while being only feet away from the pros on the green.
"It's just a lot of unique and different type of fun that you can have at a golf tournament," said Ron Anders, Tailgate Guys, Director of Special Projects.
The crowd is expected to stay roughly the same size as the Barbasol Championship enters its last round Sunday.
