MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Montgomery Police are working to find out what led to a fatal crash involving a motorcyclist on Sunday.

According to Capt. Regina Duckett, the two-vehicle crash happened around 8:50 p.m. on Vaughn Road near Wynlakes Boulevard. Joseph Armstrong, 37 of Elmore County, was killed when the Yamaha motorcycle he was driving collided with a 2008 Toyota Corolla.

Armstrong was pronounced dead at the scene, Duckett says. The driver of the Toyota Corolla was uninjured.

An initial investigation indicates the motorcycle was traveling westbound on Vaughn Road when it collided with the Corolla, which was traveling eastbound, Duckett says. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
