MILLBROOK, AL (WSFA) -

Millbrook police have arrested the suspect in connection to a shooting that happened Thursday afternoon.

Kendrick Trayvaun Williams, 22, of Millbrook was taken into custody at the Millbrook Police Department "without incident" according to Millbrook Police Chief P.K. Johnson.

Williams was arrested on two separate charges, menacing, and second degree assault.

According to Johnson, Williams was transferred to the Elmore County Jail and placed under a $15,000 bond.

"I want to thank Mr. Williams's family for working with our detectives and officers and for convincing Mr. Williams to come in on his own," said Johnson.

Williams was accused of shooting 40-year-old Bobby L. Pernell Jr. twice, once in each leg, after the two got into an argument in the 3000 block of Duncan Drive.
