Man in life-threatening condition after shooting in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Montgomery police were called to the scene of a shooting in the 3600 block of Castle Ridge Road Monday morning.

Details are limited, but police department spokeswoman Capt. Regina Duckett could confirm the victim is suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

The man has been transported to an area hospital. No information is currently available regarding a motive or suspects.

Though not connected, another situation played out just two buildings down from the shooting when Montgomery firefighters were called to work an apparent unit fire. No injuries were reported.

This is the third shooting in Montgomery since Sunday morning.

In unrelated cases, a woman was seriously injured Sunday afternoon in the 5200 block of Carmichael Road. Earlier Sunday morning, another person whom police have not released any information on, suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound in the 4700 block of South Court Street.
