HOOVER, AL (WSFA) -

The judges have spoken and the crown has been passed to the newest Ms. Alabama Nursing Home for 2017.

Dothan resident Sarah “Sally” Scott was crowned Monday evening in a ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham - The Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover.

Scott's crown was placed on her head by Miss Alabama 2017 Jessica Proctor, who was co-host of the event.

The winner is the mother of three children and has two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

As Ms. Alabama Nursing Home, Ms. Scott will travel to various nursing homes and community events to share her experiences and will also serve as an ambassador for nursing home residents at several Alabama Nursing Home Association events during her reign
