Gov. Kay Ivey awarded nearly $3.5 million in grant money across the state for highway safety enforcement campaigns.

Media Production Group at Auburn University now has $720,000 to come up with advertising emphasizing the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" and "Click It or Ticket" campaigns.

"This grant is a continuation of work that we've actually been doing for several  years and I think that's a consequence of having a good relationship with ADECA," said Director of Auburn University's Media Production Group, Bruce Kuerten.

Although Media Production Group has been developing these advertisements for several years, this new grant adds an extra step to their process.

"This grant now means that we're in charge of buying the media as well as the production so it's very fascinating for us, it's a wonderful experience," said Producer/Director of Auburn University's Media Production Group John DiJulio.

"A guy had an accident and he got out of the car and he said just this morning, 'I heard the spot on click it or ticket and that's the reason why I buckled my seat belt and they said that's the reason why you're alive,'" said Kuerten.
