FLOMATON, AL (WALA) -

Two people were found dead at a residence in Flomaton Saturday afternoon in a scene the police chief there described as having "trauma."

Police on Saturday evening identified the vicitms as 50-year-old Timothy Adams and 61-year-old Susan Adams.

Police Chief Bryan Davis said the couple was last heard from sometime Saturday morning.

Davis declined to say whether either of the deceased people suffered gunshot wounds.

He said police are searching for a suspect.

Authorities said the bodies of the victims were discovered Saturday afternoon after the Flomaton Fire Department was asked to do a welfare check on the residents of a home on College Road.

When fire department personnel and police gained entry to the home, they found the deceased people inside.

The police chief said his department called on the Escambia County Sheriff's Office and the State Department of Investigation to assist.
