You might see a little more pink around town in the next few months. It’s a program called Real Men Wear Pink. The goal is to raise awareness and money to fight breast cancer.

The event is held on by the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Montgomery. The event is now in its third year. Prominent local men and even a giraffe will be wearing pink to raise awareness and fight breast cancer.

The campaign kicks off tonight from 5:30 to 7:30 at La Jolla in East Montgomery. Part of the money from drink specials will go to the Real Men Wear Pink campaign. You will also get to meet all the local men involved including our very own Anchor Judd Davis.

All the participants plan to wear pink every day in October to raise awareness.  They will also have a special Real Men Wear Pink Facebook page to help raise money.

In the last two years, the event has raised $220,000 for the American Cancer Society.
