AL Kidney Foundation hires new regional director

The Alabama Kidney Foundation has hired a new Middle Alabama Regional Director. Abby Dorminey will oversee local special events, including the annual Kidney Walk, and programs provided to kidney patients in the region. 

Dorminey and her family are natives of the Montgomery area, and she has a background in marketing and public relations.

Most recently, Abby worked at Frazer United Methodist Church for 5 years. She’s also worked as the Public Relations Specialist for the Alabama Hospital Association where she was responsible for new public relations projects, management of design projects, and oversight of communication campaigns, including the “Scale Back Alabama Campaign.”

Prior to that, she worked as a Marketing and Public Relations Intern for both the Alabama Shakespeare Festival and Eastdale Mall.

Abby earned both her Master of Arts in Advertising & PR and her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Alabama.

The Alabama Kidney Foundation was founded to assist kidney patients and has a 41-year history of serving Alabama's kidney patient population.

The AKF serves kidney patients by providing financial assistance, education, and support services.
