(CNN) - While many people are planning Thanksgiving dinners, in one Texas neighborhood it's Oct. 31.
Neighbors put together Halloween in November all for one special dinosaur. Eight-year-old Willow Kreitz missed Halloween with her friends this year because she was in the hospital battling leukemia.
Kreitz, "It's not good at all. It's sometimes painful."
Missing her favorite holiday was hard, but when there's a Willow, there's a way. Her dad made her amazing costume while she was still in the hospital. Classmates and their parents got a whole neighborhood on board to hand out candy.
Neighbor Lori Kliebert says, "She just deserves it, you know, everything she's been through and having to miss things."
When asked about how it all makes her feel, Willow says, "It feels really good."
Willow knows at too young an age sometimes life can be hard, but this special night she also learned, sometimes people come through for you.
"I feel it in God and I feel it in all my friends," Willow says.
