AUBURN, AL (WSFA) - A Tuskegee man has been arrested and charged in a sexual assault investigation stemming from October, according to the Auburn Police Division.
Auburn police arrested Orlando Marquis Sims, 19, Monday, and charged him with two counts of first-degree sodomy. Police say the arrest stems from an Oct. 20 investigation that happened at a residence on Gentry Drive.
After investigation, Auburn police along with the Lee County Department of Health & Human Resources said Sims sexually assaulted the victim, who was under the age of 12. It was also revealed that Sims was a family acquaintance.
Sims is currently being held in the Lee County Jail.
