ENTERPRISE, AL (WSFA) - Three Florida men have been arrested in south Alabama after investigators responding to a report of possible credit card fraud uncovered a trove of credit and debit cards.
Enterprise police were called to the Walmart on Boll Weevil Circle Sunday in regards to the fraudulent card use. There, officers found three suspects, Leonard Anthony Maitland, 22; Nathaniel Louis Philon, 34; and Travis Ian Wells, 27, all of Opa Locka, FL.
Investigators found the three in possession of multiple counterfeit credit cards, but it was only after a search warrant was signed on their vehicle that officers recovered hundreds of other cards.
Authorities say they found 350 more debit/credit cards, gifts cards, prepaid debit cards, and iTunes cards in the vehicle that were bought with the counterfeit credit cards. In all, Enterprise police say the recovered cards were worth more than $11,000
Maitland, Philon, and Wells are each charged with possession of a forged Instrument and trafficking in stolen identities with more charges possibly pending.
They were taken to the Coffee County Jail.
